Biography

The Backrow Brothers are a musical duo combining the spirit of Appalachia and the soul of the Western Plains into a tasteful balance of tight harmonies and timeless original lyrics. Drawing their roots from bluegrass, country, pop, jazz, rock, gospel, and more, they’re propelling tradition into the next generation while building their own unmistakable style. Composed of Josh Dean on guitar and Braxton Rogers on banjo, the pair began performing on the streets of Gatlinburg and soon found themselves on the ‘backrow’ of industry norms. They decided to embrace that difference, in the name of entertaining audiences nationwide.
